"Fire and Water"

A new collection of paintings and sculpture inspired by the elements, landscape and spirit of the South West.

Fire and Water brings together new works by painter Kirsty Watkins and sculptor Nigel Lullfitz, created in response to the region they live and work in: its coastline, bushland, shifting skies, raw materials and elemental contrasts.

​

The exhibition is a celebration of place. It reflects the meeting of fire and water, strength and movement, earth and atmosphere, explored through painting and sculpture side by side.

​

Kirsty's new paintings move beyond the turquoise waters and big blue skies she's known for, into something softer and more atmospheric: hay bales glowing in the late afternoon sun, mist rising off the lake at dawn, and local beaches turned apricot and mauve by the sunset.

​

Set within Kirsty's Yallingup studio and garden, Fire and Water invites visitors to experience the art alongside the surrounding environment. Nigel's sculptures sit outdoors, where the changing afternoon light and the garden itself become part of the work, while Kirsty's paintings are shown throughout the studio.
