This painting began with the surface of the water at Abbey Beach. I was drawn to the deep blues and the way the light caught the small ripples in broken lines of silver and soft pink. The patterns shift constantly, so the challenge was to keep them natural without making them too tidy. It is a close study of water doing what it always does, changing every second. |
