Copper and Indigo Acrylic Workshop Saturday 27th June 2026 9:00am - 3:00pm Spend the day painting glowing ripples across open water, using rich indigo blues, soft copper highlights, and gentle sunset colours. This workshop is based on Copper and Indigo, a painting full of movement, soft light, and beautiful shifting shapes across the surface of the water. You’ll learn how to break down ripples into simple sections, rather than trying to paint every little detail. Kirsty will guide you step-by-step through the whole process, helping you build up the painting in layers so the water feels like it’s moving and catching the light. Kirsty will teach you: • How to sketch in the main ripple shapes • How to build depth with layers of colour • How to mix soft sunset tones with deeper indigo blues • How to balance hard and soft edges • How to use contrast to make the water shimmer • How to simplify a busy water scene so it feels manageable • How to add final details without making the painting look too tight This workshop is suitable for all levels, whether you’re new to painting or keen to build more confidence with water, colour and flowing brushwork.
