"Before Dunsborough Wakes" - Dunsborough Foreshore Sunrise Acrylic Workshop Tuesday 24th November 2026 9:00am – 3:30pm If you’ve walked along the Dunsborough foreshore early in the morning, you’ll know the feeling: boats resting quietly on their moorings, soft pink and lilac clouds overhead, and the morning light spilling across the shallows. Spend a day painting that familiar view towards the Dunsborough Yacht Club, capturing the colours and stillness that make this stretch of coast so special. Presented in partnership with the Dunsborough Arts Society, this acrylic workshop will explore how to create a luminous coastal sunrise. You’ll learn to blend warm apricot, blush pink and soft violet, paint gentle cloud formations, and carry those colours into the water with delicate reflections and ripples. Kirsty will guide you step by step, building the painting in manageable layers, from the first washes of colour to the finishing details of the moored boats. Along the way, you’ll discover how soft edges, thoughtful colour mixing and small touches of light can bring depth, atmosphere and tranquillity to your painting.
