This painting came from a moment when the clouds opened and a soft band of light moved across the Yallingup landscape. The sky carries most of the story, with broad shapes and muted colour creating a sense of changing weather. I kept the land understated so the light could remain the focus. It is a reminder that even a grey day can shift in a matter of minutes.
