The Basin Blues captures the soft blues and clear shallows of The Basin at Rottnest Island. I wanted to show the stillness of the water as it shifts from pale turquoise to deep blue, with the reef patterns showing through. The rocky headland and the big offshore rock complete the view that always feels so familiar and calm, a place where the light seems to dance across the water all day.
