Copper and Indigo was painted after spending an evening by the water, watching the colours change as the sun slipped away.
The sea was calm but alive with movement, catching bits of gold and indigo across the surface.
I was drawn to how the light played through the ripples, never still, always shifting. This piece is my take on that fleeting mix of warmth and depth that only happens right before dusk.
