Ripples Across the Water One-Day Acrylic Workshop August 23, 2025 9:30am-4:00pm Ripples on water can be tricky to paint, but once you know how to break them down, they become much easier and really fun to work with. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to create soft, shifting ripples that give water its natural shimmer and sense of movement. The scene is inspired by Infinite Light, with gentle ripples stretching across calm water and catching the light in different ways. Kirsty will guide you step-by-step through how to build up layers, balance hard and soft edges, and use brushwork to suggest movement without overworking the surface. You’ll look at colour choices, how light behaves across rippling water, and how to make the water feel like it’s alive and flowing, not flat or static. • $245 for day. • All paints and materials are provided other than canvas. • Canvas Size to be used: Square 20 x 20-inch or Small Rectangle like 16 x 20-inch or 18 x 24-inch • Suitable for all levels of expertise. • Taught at Studio Door Yallingup.
